10/14/2008 NEW WINDSOR:
SYZYGY voted one of the top 25 independent CDs!

9/25/2008 Edgewater
JDA seeking new drummer. If you are a drummer and are interested , and are in the New York metro area please go
here and fill out the contact form.
Here is the story:
JDA has lost our drummer and we can't find him. But seriously folks, Ron Cook is moving on, we are seeking a replacement
ASAP . The parting is amicable, and we may occasionally still work together.
The issue is availability.
Our last show at the art festival was well-received, but from our perspective, lacking in nuance, very loose, and
a bit rushed.
At that time had not had more than 3 gatherings as a group since the beginning of July!
So this is an opportunity
for us to regroup, review and renew ourselves, our music and our commitment.
JDA IS still very much alive, and on
the studio front we are still creating and are about 45% through the process on our 4th project.
We are apparently
similar to GENESIS, in the sense that the studio JDA is 3 people, and the live is 5.
The music is varied as always, but running the gamut ( in this instance, anyway) from true PROG to country-western. Stay
tuned for more developments.
We wish RON all the success possible with he future musical endeavors.

Avalon USA started in 1989, when Jeff Kalmar and Joel Pirard agreed to start a new band together. After having played in
ORION, (with John Curtin) they had a good idea of what they could come up with. "We scouted around searching for the people
that would eventually make up the band, careful to avoid the 'weak links' that had broken up our other band, " Jeff stated.
Bruce Henninger, was recruited from an advertisement in a musicians' journal, and the search for a bassist continued. For
a short time that spot was filled but the demands of the music soon brought about more change. John Curtin had been sitting
in from time to time and eventually came aboard as bassist/lead guitarist, soon followed by Dan Bonadeo. Thus the birth of
the band.
Gigging furiously, AVALON USA even devoted time to a YES tribute show, all the while writing new powerful
material, and re-doing a number of ORION songs. For the first time, this collection will put the studio tracks of their 2
previous releases, "Five of the Best" and "The Dreamer and the Dream" together on one disc.
AVALON USA: Jeff Kalmar,
Lead Guitar, Bass Guitar, Backing Vocals Joel Pirard, Keyboards, Backing Vocals John Curtin, Bass Guitar, Lead Guitar Bruce
Henninger, Drums, Assorted Percussion Dan Bonadeo, Lead and Backing Vocals
